Our campus dietitian is here to support your health and wellness journey. Whether you have specific dietary needs, questions about nutrition, or just want tips on making balanced choices. From personalized consultations to campus-wide wellness initiatives, our on-site dietitian is dedicated to helping you thrive.
Maddie Ring RD, LDN
Maddie is a graduate of Appalachian State University where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. Maddie works with the culinary team to provide special dietary accommodations to students with food allergies and other dietary restrictions and holds events throughout the year to promote overall health and wellness. Maddie’s goal as the Blue Demon Hospitality Registered Dietitian is to help students gain a better understanding of their unique nutritional needs so that they feel empowered to make choices that best fit their goals.

Kosher Dining
Blue Demon Hospitality is proud to offer certified kosher grab and go meal options to support the dietary needs of our diverse campus community. Grab and Go* as well as Kosher prepared meals* that just need to be reheated will be offered via our Byte cooler located inside Sheffields. Whether you observe kosher dietary laws or simply enjoy flavorful, high-quality cuisine, our kosher items provide a delicious and inclusive dining experience. Halal Dining
Blue Demon Hospitality proudly offers halal menu options to cater to the diverse dietary preferences of our campus community. Our halal menu options use only halal-certified ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers. This ensures that all our dishes, meet the requirements of halal standards.
Stress Less Zone
Stress Less Zone is a dedicated space that ensures students and guests who have a gluten intolerance and/or peanut & tree nut allergies can access delicious, versatile food choices at every meal. Stress Less Zones are located inside Blue Demon Dining Hall and The POD Market. A Stress Less Zone can also be found at POD Market located on the Loop Campus.
