Ask your cashier for an OZZI container when swiping into Blue Demon Dining Hall - Fill & Enjoy
Fill your OZZI container with your meal and enjoy it anywhere, anytime! - Return your OZZI
After eating your meal, rinse and return your used OZZI container to a cashier at Blue Demon Dining Hall. You will receive your credit back so you can check out a new OZZI. - Repeat!
Ozzi Container FAQs
How and where do I get an OZZI reusable container?
OZZI containers are available at Blue Demon Dining Hall on campus. Just let your cashier know that you would like one!
Is participation in the OZZI program free?
To purchase your initail OZZI there is a cost of $7.00. As long as you return your used OZZI with our cashiers, there is no charge. If you lose or don't return your OZZI, there is a $7.00 charge for a new one.
Can I take more than one OZZI at a time?
No. OZZI distribution and returns are tracked. You will need to return your used OZZI before we can issue a new one.
What if I lose my OZZI container?
If your container is lost or damaged, a $7.00 recovery fee will apply. This fee helps cover the cost of replacing the container and ensures the OZZI system remains a closed-loop, sustainable program. If you are in need of financial assistance, please email dining@depaul.edu
How do the OZZI containers get cleaned?
We ask that you please rinse out the box before returning, but after it is returned, our staff will thoroughly clean and sanitize each container.
Are the containers microwave safe?
Yes! The OZZI containers are made with #5 recycled plastic that is BPA-free, NSF-certified, and is able to be microwaved, refrigerated, and frozen.
Can I bring my own to-go containers into the dining halls?
No. Only the OZZI containers are allowed when taking a meal to-go from our dining halls for food safety and sanitation purposes.
Is the OZZI container vacuum sealed?
No. Like any to-go container, if turned on its side, the OZZI container will likely leak liquids. It will contain solid food as long as the lid is properly secured.
It’s still plastic. How is it better for the environment?
The container is made from #5 plastic and is designed to be reused hundreds of times before being recycled, making it better than even a single-use compostable option. After it is recycled, the container can be melted down and remade into other recycled material products.
